IHS adds online form for Tribal requests for agency leadership speakers and meetings
Health and Human ServicesProgram changeOct 6, 2026
Check: Tribal leaders now submit requests for IHS leadership to speak at events or attend meetings (other than Tribal Delegation Meetings) through a new online form, and should file at least 60 days ahead.
What it does
Tribal leaders and organizations that want Indian Health Service (IHS) leadership at an event or meeting, other than a Tribal Delegation Meeting (TDM), must use the new online form, effective October 6, 2026. An IHS representative will review each request, follow up with the requester, and give status updates until a decision is made, but submitting a request does not guarantee IHS participation.
Why it matters for tribal funding
Consultation. A federal agency is asking tribal governments for their views before it decides ().
Who it covers: Tribal governments.
What to do next
- Submit speaker or meeting requests through the online form at https://www.ihs.gov/ihscalendar/meetingrequest/ at least 60 days before the event, and no more than 6 months in advance.
